Ironically, this morning I came across Philippians 4:8. It reads;
“Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.”
Philippians 4:8 NASB
True, honorable, right, pure, lovely, of good repute, excellent, worthy of praise… these are the things we need to fix our thoughts on.
This is a great reminder after Wednesday and Thursday! Sometimes, I get so caught up in things I have no control over and my thoughts are not anything like these words above. Sometimes, it is about some strange boy that probably does not even deserve this space in my head, other times, it is about future events, like not finding a home in a said amount of time. These are two examples where I am really trying to be kind to myself. The said boy, nice guy, but the timing is and was not right. The said house will come, I am taking the right steps, just waiting patiently for it to appear and praying that no one else wants it.
What are the thoughts that take up space in your head that need to be adjusted?
How do you keep your thoughts on the True, honorable, right, pure, lovely, of good repute, excellent, worthy of praise?
Happy Monday! Much 💜
