a Look Back

225

Foolish games are often played

at the cost of utopia and better days

A lesson learned; a hope dismantled.

A home that is broken completely embattled

The indignant downpour of rain it seems

Washed away all things unclean

Leaves floating out in the water.

Searching for the shore that is broader

A place for life to begin again

One where there is no ilk of men

Timeless days are yet to come

Healing now those times are done.
