Poems, Random thoughts

Days of December

I remember the laughter of youth from long ago

Wrapped in the arms of family friends and beau

I sit at the window staring into the clouds

Reminiscing of time flies from then to now

Days flow into years & some tears feeling old, lost in a time from so long ago

The clouds are so fluffy, explode full of snow

In the winter wonderland, there is no place to go

Pain is not optional on a cold lonely day, tears sometimes fall & some are wiped away

Just like the family & friends I once had

Lost in the memories some good, mainly bad

I wake from thunder and fire warms my toes; I wait for the dawn to slip me out of my lows

I wait for a love, a love I once had

I blame love for driving me, driving me mad

I condemn love and feelings and false expectations Drowning my sorrows, healed of temptations

In the shadows of my dreams &

Beyond my deep thoughts

I feel the peace & surrender, kindness of loss

Releasing the bitterness, regrets left to toss

On this delightful December morning

The sun is shining, glistening the snow

I take a walk with no place to go

Children are laughing, my loneliness wanes

I stop for a moment & buy 10 candy canes

Hand them to strangers & remember the Main

Reason of December to restore & build hope

To remember a man who died long ago &

Came back from Heaven to give life

More than we know

Slivers of faith, combined with some hope

Restoring a love from hearts that were broke

The days of December, short & so cold,

flurry winter skies Embraced from below

Not all hearts are happy but lonely and true, missing family and friends saddening & blue.
