Flavored Denials

189

A taste like wine, more bitter than sweet

Austere at first, as the aromas compete

Balancing out, harmonizing discreet

Decadent experience, to turn marguerite

Developing an ominous premonition, it seems

A hedonistic approach defining all schemes

Ponderous thoughts, such to the extremes

The velvety disillusion, slowly losing its gleam

This is one of those poems that bring me so much joy to write. It says everything that I have been feeling in the most beautiful way possible. I hope you have enjoyed reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it.
