The Longest Road

199

Happiness found, so long my misery

You have lingered enough on the periphery

A razor’s edge, truth in silence

There is no space now for the raging violence

The touch of moonlight embraces my face

Beautiful tomorrows replace lost yesterdays

Time is so graceful, releasing the forgotten touch

The tears and sorrows when you have been missed too much

Embers warm my soul, with only the kiss of fire left, remains

Walking away peacefully, taste of sweet summer rain

Beginning a new life, free of all your debris

I am okay, never guaranteed

Success is survival
