Unrequited Love

112

Once upon a time in a land far far away…

Two hearts were filled with hope & passion, so unlike today

They danced & roamed the vacant streets, with childlike premonition

The world was theirs, triumphant bliss, laughter with each stollen kiss, magical intention

Then one day the skies of blue,

turned a dark & scary hue

The intense storm of thunder, roaring throughout the night

One heart began to wonder, was this to be her plight

Words from a foreign tongue,

reflections fade & no war won

Quarter year passed by indolently, her heart still yearned for his.

Beating for him daily, miserably, dejectedly, woebegone tis

The written word was to much, her eyes could not perceive,

how could this darling be a behemoth, tell me, make believe?

Guilt held from this modern verse, surely not love but only a curse, conjure up a simple solution, communication was the biggest pollution.

Is there chance to forgive &  reunite, after all this terrible spite? There is no feeling in behemoths, they lurk all around &  pretend to be true.

He did not ever exist, my imagination filled with wishes & mist
